After many weeks of storm after storm, we’re entering into a less stormy pattern this week that should linger through about Feb 10/11.
Temperatures go through a little up and down this week, but nothing overly mild, which has been the case in this “warm up” we’ve had. Overall temperatures stay slightly above average, but we’ll have some cold days to contend with in the Northeast, whereas the cold is scoured out of the Great Lakes as we set up a pattern somewhat similar to December.
The coldest part of the week comes Thursday into Friday when an arctic front comes through. It looked a bit more potent/deep late last week than it does now….so while it’ll be cold, it doesn’t look as cold as it did.
In terms of precipitation, there’s not much to speak of. We’re going to have some snow showers and squalls possible with the arctic front later Thursday into Friday, but that’s about all we have on the table for this week, and with a falling/more neutral PNA, it makes sense we’re on the quiet side.
